Getting Corby Schools on Board with the Walking and Cycling Plan

Free Reflectors for Corby Schools Taking Part in the Walking and Cycling Plan...

Young people have the most to gain from their area having a good, safe walking, wheeling and cycling network. It enables them to get around independently, builds up health resilience and makes their journeys safer and greener... and it will be there for life for them.

We want to get the views and input of a wide range of people across the Corby area to help us develop a great walking and cycling plan. It is crucial that we hear the voices of children and young people as they can be easily missed in projects like this.

So this week we are contacting all the Corby schools to get their support in getting the word out about the Commonplace platform and the chance for families and anyone age 13+ to give their views on where improvements are most needed.

We are asking schools to display a poster promoting the Commonplace platform and take part in an easy survey about travel habits before the end of January. As a thank you each school completing this will receive a free pack of 190 reflectors.

If you are connected to a local school - maybe a parent, governor or teacher - please ask them if they are taking part and if not yet, then encourage them to do so by getting in touch with us or responding to the letter they will receive from us.

Thank you. (Please click on 'Read Update' if image does not appear).
